English Speech Festival

This year’s English Speech Festival on May 30th was a delightful mixture of choral performances by our younger classes and speeches from the older students.

For the choral performances, the KLG2 and KLG1 classes put on the lovely A Beautiful Day, KG1 performed the cute and funny There’s a Crocodile in My Lunchbox, and KG2 did the delightful If You Were A Carrot. All the students and teachers deserve congratulations for their excellent work!

Students from KG3 to KG6 shared their opinions on whether they think AI should be used for schoolwork, their favourite songs, and the coolest things they’ve learned at school. The students’ efforts in writing, practicing, and giving their speeches was a huge success! We were impressed with their thoughtful opinions and confident speaking.

To encourage positivity and optimism toward public speaking, the English Speech Festival was not a competition this year. However, all the students strove to do their best to impress their classmates, teachers, and parents. As a surprise thank you for their efforts, all the students received an adorable capybara stationary gift.

Thank you to all the teachers and parents for helping the students have such a successful day!
