If you were stuck on a deserted island, what three things would you bring and why?
Seyong Lee
If I were stuck on a deserted island, the first thing I would bring is a device to purify water. Without water, it would be hard to survive even a day. The second item would be a knife. Whether building a shelter or cooking, a knife is essential for anything to do. It can also provide protection in dangerous situations. Finally, I would bring a notebook and a pencil. Being stranded on a deserted island is such a fascinating situation. Writing about it could become a hit. With plenty of time on my hands, I would write down my thoughts and draw whatever comes to mind. When I’m rescued, no one knows how rare this writing could be. A notebook and pencil are essential for investing in the future.
Mr Chris
I’m really not much of a survivalist, so taking gear that would help me build shelter and hunt for food etc. probably wouldn’t be worthwhile. I’d rather take a few home comforts and hope that help comes along sooner rather than later. Therefore, I’d take a record player and a selection of jazz records for relaxation and entertainment. The record player would have to be solar powered, obviously. I’d take a hammock, so that I could easily get a comfortable night’s sleep and I’d take a fishing rod in the hope that I could catch some food or at least keep myself entertained.
