If you were stuck on a deserted island, what three things would you bring and why?

Mi na Jeon

1. A Durable Multi-tool

A multi-tool (like a Swiss Army knife) is incredibly versatile. It can help with building shelter, preparing food, making fire, and even first aid. Its compact size and multiple functions make it essential for survival.

2. A Large, Reliable Tarp

A tarp can be used for shelter, collecting rainwater, signaling for help, or even as a makeshift boat sail. Protection from the elements is crucial, and a tarp offers flexibility for many survival needs.

3. A Solar-Powered Satellite Phone

While it might seem high-tech, a satellite phone powered by solar energy would be a lifeline for calling for rescue. Communication with the outside world greatly increases the chances of being found and rescued.

If I were stuck on a deserted island, the first thing I would bring would be a photo of loved ones to provide emotional warmth while I am away from them. A fishing net to catch fish and other seafood for food. And lastly, matches to easily start a fire for cooking, for warmth, light and signalling for help if it comes my way!
